A Florida school district has removed its LGBTQ+ inclusive anti-bullying video as a result of the state’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.

Back in March, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education bill into law after it was passed by conservative lawmakers across the House and Senate.

Under the legislation, teachers and schools are barred from discussing “sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students.” Since the archaic bill has been signed into law, school officials in the state have started implementing its harmful guidelines.
